Ana Catarina Ferreira (Lisboa, 1985) is a PhD student in Urban Studies at ISCTE-IUL/FCSH-UNL and integrates the exPERts’ team since May 2016 as research assistant at CIES-IUL (36-month grant). She is graduated in Architectural Studies from FA-UTL (Faculty of Architecture – Technical University of Lisbon) and attended the 2nd cycle of the Integrated Master Course in Architecture at the same institution. In 2014, she concluded her master’s degree in Urban Studies from ISCTE-IUL/FCSH-UNL with a thesis about the increasing emergency of architects’ local intervention initiatives and their socio-territorial impacts, that had as case study the projects TISA and Casa do Vapor implemented in Cova do Vapor, an informal neighbourhood of Almada (municipality of Metropolitan Area of Lisbon). She was research assistant from DINAMIA’CET-IUL (April 2015 – April 2016) and collaborated in the project “REV – Rester en Ville”.
