Marco Allegra is postdoctoral researcher at the Instituto de Ciências Sociais da Universidade de Lisboa (ICS-ULisboa) and Investigador Associado at the Centro de Investigação e Estudos de Sociologia of the Instituto Universitário de Lisboa (CIES-IUL). His areas of expertise include Middle East politics, planning theory, and urban studies; his current research activities focus on Israel’s settlement policy in the area of Jerusalem, and, as Principal Investigator of the project exPERTs, on housing issues and on the role of knowledge and professional expertise in the policy process.
